Prayer for the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.

911 Prayer for Jerusalem: “We ask that You turn the heart of The Honorable Nir Barkat, Jerusalem’s mayor, toward You…. And that he would acknowledge his need of You and re-issue a city-wide call to prayer” (Anne Graham Lotz).

We intercede for Israel’s PM Netanyahu and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat. Give them peace as they go through the day.

The Spiritual Gifts of the Holy Spirit

“After 9 days of prayer before Shavuot/Pentecost, God brought His Holy Spirit on the disciples. What will He show you if you do the same?” Tweet from Messianic Sabbath (@m_sabbath) on 6/03/14.

Charisma Magazine has a list of 25 spiritual gifts mentioned in Scripture that “the Holy Spirit gave to the early church—and continues to give today. Most Christians are familiar with the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit that Paul describes in 1 Cor. 12:4-10. But did you know there are many more?”

The Apostle Paul said, “Now about the spiritual gifts (endowments of supernatural energy), brethren, I do not want you to be misinformed.” 1 Cor. 12:1 (AMP).

“Paul, the great apostle who wrote most of the New Testament and laid the foundation for victorious Christian life, thanked God that he spoke in tongues. Paul deemed ‘praying in other tongues’ important and was grateful for the blessing.” From The Power of Praying in Tongues by Glenn Arekion (back cover), Destiny Image Europe.

“More than 600 million Christians have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. You can learn to use your spirit language to see prayers answered, activate more faith, receive healing and victory, and increase God’s love and power within your life and ministry.” From Seventy Reasons for Speaking in Tongues by Bill Hamon (back cover), Destiny Image Publishers, Inc.

Charisma Magazine has many free online articles about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, like “The Purpose of Pentecostal Power,” by Kyle Winkler. He says, the book of Acts is “the beginning of the ‘tongues’ phenomenon, and largely, the ability of everyday Christians to engage in deliverance and healing.” Read more here.

“Tongues have been the making of my ministry,” said Rev. John G. Lake (quoted in interview here), a world shaker and the first Pentecostal missionary to Africa. Lake’s healing ministry continues today in prayer and “Healing Rooms” all over the world.

Evangelist Sid Roth wants to pray with you online to receive Jesus as your Savior, and to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Check out his video, “How to Know God.” Sid will help you ask Jesus to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Sid says, “Everyone who asks, receives.”

A Survivor’s Prayer

In the 1800’s, Preacher Charles Spurgeon spoke these comforting words: “Saints have no hell but what they suffer here on earth; sinners will have no heaven but what they have here in this poor troublesome world.”

Are you a survivor? Some people have survived a lot, and they continue to be giving people that love the Lord. Surviving all that they have without becoming bitter, or addicted to substances, or self-absorbed is not a small thing.

We need to act wisely and virtuously and trust in the Lord–trust in His benevolent and superior wisdom. God is good and NOT trusting in Him is a waste of time. Every one of our cares is ultimately the Lord’s responsibility. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV).

A fellow believer told me that, “[i]n the midst of circumstances that look very bleak, it is crucial to remember that trust and hope in God are not products of our circumstances, but aggressive choices that we must make in His power. These are the daily battles of faith . . . .”

Trusting in the Lord is most important when it is most difficult–when we can see no reason for hope in our own eyes. Then, we are growing in reliance on God. He is the only source of deep and abiding joy, for He is the only thing that’s consistently and everlastingly excellent.

Christians, have confidence that the Lord will lead you where He wants you to go and will provide you with the recognizable clues.

Dear God, please show us the surpassing goodness of your favor. We ask with faith and gratitude, in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer for the Armies of the Living God Part 3

Father and son authors T. F. and  Tommy Tenny make this Biblical Power Point:

God saw past the surface and peered into David’s heart. When young David told King Saul he would go out to meet Goliath in battle, he didn’t brag, “Watch how good my aim is!” He didn’t even mention the slingshot and the 5 smooth stones or the fact that he had just enough “ammunition” for Goliath.  He just said, “The Lord, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine” (1 Sam 17:37).

Oddly enough, The Amplified (Bible) Version says David put the stones in his lunch bag! He wasn’t going to a fight; he was en-route to a picnic. Goliath bragged, “I’m going to eat your lunch,” but little did he know what was in David’s lunch bag. David was willing to let go–to relinquish self–to the glory of God, and miracles happened.

A prayer for the leaders of the IDF:
Moshe Ya’alon, Minister of Defense
Danny Danon, Deputy Minister of Defense
Lt. Gen. Benjamin Gantz, IDF Chief of General Staff

God of Israel, thank you for making the IDF a mighty army. We ask for a revelation of David’s Zionism among the leaders of the IDF, and Israel’s Defense Department, and their prayer supporters. Reveal Your Word about their right to the land. Give them unity and a fresh vision for their calling. To these leaders, impart your divine wisdom, humility, and the boldness of King David–a man after your own heart. We ask these things in the name of the Messiah of Israel. Amen.

Prayer for The Armies of the Living God Part 2

Let us lift up the Israel Defense Forces (צְבָא הַהֲגָנָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל) (Tzva Hahagana LeYisra’el, lit. “The Army of Defense for Israel”) in prayer:

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob–may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard . . . on the land, in the air, and on the sea.

May Hashem [the LORD] cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.

May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you. [Deut. 20:4]

Now let us respond: Amen.

Prayer for The Armies of The Living God Part 1

Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr., teaches powerful truths on how to line up your thinking with the Word of God.  He says that we can “frame our world,” and change our circumstances with Scripture.

God used words to form the world. Hebrews 11:3. We are to imitate God.  “Therefore be imitators of God . . . .” Ephesians 5:1 (ESV). At creation, God framed the worlds with His Word and we are to frame our worlds with His Word.

David was just a shepherd boy when he began framing his world with the Word of God.  I Samuel 17 gives the account of Goliath . . . . David asked, “[W]ho is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” David was framing his world with words!  Before he ever fought Goliath,  [David] called out what the outcome would be.

“Then David said to the Philistine, I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied . . . This day the Lord will deliver thee into my hand . . . that all the world may know that there is a God in Israel… for the battle is the Lord’s.” David said it and God brought it to pass.

Leroy Thompson, Sr., Framing Your World with the Word of God–The Creative Power of the Spoken Word, Published by Harrison House, Inc., Tulsa, OK (p.107-13).

Lord, cause your word to live as your people read it. We specifically agree in prayer with Intercessors for Israel for Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon. Lord, give this team your divine inspiration, wisdom like Solomon, and courage like David.

2013 God’s Timing is my timing

The gift of pardon for your sins is the greatest abundance, blessing, and prosperity you can ever receive. Jesus died to pay the debt for our sins. The Lord requires a death penalty, a blood atonement to cover our sins.  Messiah Jesus was a willing sacrifice. It was the only way for Him to spend eternity with us. The Bible says, Whosoever believes shall have everlasting life. John 3:16.

When your sins are forgiven, you can spend eternity in heaven. If you die without asking God to forgive you, you have not accepted His free gift of pardon for your sins, and you’ll be doomed to hellfire for eternity. 1 Thess 1:10. Believe in Jesus, pray in your own words, and repent of your sins. Here’s a sample prayer from author Manny Brotman:

Dear God, I confessed that I’ve sinned against you and I’m truly sorry for it. Messiah Yeshua, please come into my heart & life and cleanse me with your precious blood of atonement. Thank you for doing this according to your word. I’ll do anything you want me to, with your help. I really mean it, Lord! In Your Name, Amen!

Jesus Honored Her For Doing What She Could

Author Elisa Morgan writes about Mary of Bethany, who anointed Jesus in advance of His buriel. (Mark 14:3-9)

“Jesus said,  She did what she could – about Mary after she anointed him with oil.  Jesus loved her and honored her for doing what she could to help in the moment.  What if we responded to the needs that come before us -in the moment – with an everyday action?  What if we did not try to do everything, but instead did what we could?”

Morgan says that these were “[f]ive words of unthinkable power,  from Jesus lips to our hearts…Most of us care.  We really do.  And yet,  weighed down by the everyday tasks, we question  our ability to make a difference.  We shrug our shoulders in futility and do absolutely nothing.”

“Five words that have the power to free your spirit, and transform your life.”

Israel’s Hopeful Future

Some churches teach that the Lord is done with Israel and the Jewish people. That teaching is called Replacement Theology. They think their church has replaced Israel.

They are wrong.  Scripture reassures us that we can trust the Lord to fulfill His many promises to Israel and to us. “God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]” Romans 11: 29 (Amplified Bible).

The Bible speaks of a hopeful future for Israel. Israel will be forgiven of all sin. “And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, ‘The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob. And this will be My covenant (My agreement) with them when I take away their sins. . . . [T]hey are still the beloved (dear to Him) for the sake of their forefathers.”‘ Romans 11:26-28 (Amplified Bible).

Anti-Semitic rhetoric is spreading around the globe at an alarming rate.

. . .

[O]ur response should be. . . . to comfort, strengthen and encourage, assist and uphold the Jews as they are being gathered and restored back to their Land. We are to be a vital part of his end-time plan!

Aliyah–A Great Move of God!

God is the Ultimate Leader, and He calls every believer to lead others. He called us to participate and to lead others as we follow Him. The call to leadership is a consistent pattern in the Bible.

When God decided to raise up a nation of His own, He didn’t call upon the masses. He called out one leader–Abraham. When He wanted to deliver His people out of Egypt, He didn’t guide them as a group. He raised up a leader to do it–Moses. When it came time for the people to cross into the Promised Land, they followed one man–Joshua.

Every time God desired to do something great, He called a leader to step forward. Today He still calls leaders to step forward for every work–both large and small.

Excerpts from January 1st Devotional, p.14, from Leadership Promised for Every Day by John C. Maxwell, 2003 by Maxwell Motivation, Inc.

God is calling the Jewish people from America to move home to Israel in fulfillment of prophecy. The great Exodus is under way–greater than the Exodus from Egypt.

Therefore behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when they shall no more say, As the Lord lives, Who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, But, As the Lord lives, Who brought (them up) from all the countries to which I had driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.

Jeremiah 23: 7-8 (Amplified Bible).

They need our help. Please respond and show them God’s great love. To contribute to this great move of God, click here.

Aliyah needs leaders. Please pray about your involvement. Perhaps the Lord is beckoning to you, as He said in Isaiah 49:22.
